Description

The Western Alps Jacket by Ortovox is your personal protective shield in high alpine terrain. Rock, ice and snow become a tempting playground with the fully equipped hardshell jacket that pushes you and your clothing to their limits.

No problem for the adaptable Western Alps system - especially the reliable hardshell material knows no bad weather. The 3-layer construction including a non-porous PU membrane and a reliable DWR impregnation lets neither wind nor moisture through, but sweat and moisture quickly find their way from the inside to the outside thanks to high breathability. If you need a little more ventilation, long zips can be opened under the arms and the mesh lining also offers you pleasant ventilation (especially when the side pockets are open).

The outer shell is particularly robust and can withstand even sharp edges. Nevertheless, thanks to 2-way stretch and a dynamic fit, the jacket is particularly comfortable and designed for alpine movements.

With its well-thought-out full features, the Western Alps jacket leaves nothing to be desired and adapts ideally to the weather conditions. The large hood can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically and can be easily pulled over a helmet. Adjustable cuffs and hem keep out swirling snow and cold drafts. The two-way front zip makes the jacket easy to use over or under a harness, and the three spacious pockets can still be reached. Soft merino wool inserts in the chin and neck area are a must for a real Ortovox jacket.
