Description

The Phantom climbing shoes from Evolv are bouldering shoes for extreme performance: Evolv has used the combined expertise of its athletes Daniel Woods and Paul Robinson to design a highly ambitious bouldering shoe that is sensitive and yet offers extremely good power transmission.

Three new technologies are used in the Phantom: Firstly, the Neoflex heel, where the heel chamber is made of neoprene on the inside to make a lot of compression and traction comfortable. Otherwise, the Phantom does not need a lining.

Second, the Abridged Variable Thickness (AVT) midsole, a forefoot-only midsole of varying thickness for feel and support, combined with a separate midsole (Tension Power System Plus) made of stretched rubber for tension and down turn.

The closure system is attached at six points and thus enables good foot compression - it can be replaced if necessary. The heel area on the outside has a very sticky part for the best friction on hooks (Dark Spine Heel), and Evolv has also used an extremely friction-strong, slightly softer rubber for the sole, namely the TRAX® SAS compound. The Phantom climbing shoe offers the best conditions for steep boulders and hard projects.
