The Mercury mittens from Black Diamond - here the women's model - are ultra-warm gloves that consist of a robust, weatherproof outer shell and a removable, insulating inner mitten to keep your fingers warm in really icy conditions - Black Diamond gives the temperature range here as a whopping -31 to -12°C. The outer glove of the Mercury is made from a stretch material (completely recycled, by the way) with waterproof BD.dry™ inserts. The long cut with adjustable cuffs also ensures that snow and moisture stay outside. A large goatskin leather trim on the palm provides optimum grip. Inside, the Mercury has a warm insulating mitten that provides plenty of warmth with a combination of PrimaLoft Gold® Cross Core and PrimaLoft Gold® GripControl and a recycled inner material. The best thing about the high-quality synthetic fiber insulation: the inner gloves dry quickly and insulate even when wet. Of course, you can also use the mittens separately - just the outer gloves on warmer days and the insulating mittens in dry conditions. The Mercury gloves will accompany you on your really big adventures - whether on skis, crampons or your own feet.
