Loyal companion
For good reason. Primus knows that you need absolute quality products for your adventures, equipment you can rely on in the most extreme conditions and that will accompany you for a lifetime. That’s why they continually invest in our own research and development.
Developed in Sweden, manufactured in Europe – for good reasons
The development process begins in the test laboratory at Primus’ headquarters in Solna, Stockholm. Our development team has access to a wide range of instruments, tools and simulators. Everything our engineers need to develop, design and test new prototypes under a wide range of conditions. Every product goes through a series of performance tests. Modifications are then made until the design is perfected – and all this happens before a prototype is ever tested in practice.
Durable products
In 1995 Primus moved the production of its stoves to a neighbouring country on the other side of the Baltic Sea, Estonia. The short distance to Stockholm, the conscientious quality control and the historical traditional craftsmanship were important decision factors. Today, there are 30 skilled workers in the production plant in Tartu – each Primus cooker is produced there and passes through three pairs of hands during its production. Afterwards, it is checked if it is leak-proof and briefly put into operation to make sure that the flame pattern is optimal. This can leave traces of use – a sign of quality that your product is in perfect condition and will function reliably and safely for years.
It’s no coincidence that a stove has an integrated windscreen, fits exactly in your pocket or weighs less than 100 grams. Every Primus product, whether from the Expedition, Trekking or Campfire collection, has been designed exactly the same way for good reason.
No matter if you are looking for a gas stove for hiking tours or trekking tours or if you are more minimalistic.
